Once a document is uploaded to your system, it can be linked to various records to provide supporting evidence or context, such as serving as proof for an Organisation or an invoice for a specific Item. The Attached to tab within a Document's profile allows you to see exactly which entities are currently utilising that specific file.
Select a Document: From your main Documents list, click the hyperlinked name of the file you want to investigate.
Navigate to Attached To: In the left-hand navigation bar of the Document details panel, click the Attached to icon (the second icon down).
Review the Linked Entities: The panel will display a list of every record connected to this document. You can quickly review:
ID / Name: The specific identifier of the connected entity.
Type: The category of the entity, such as Location or Delivery.
View Data Details: If you need more context about an attached record, click its blue, hyperlinked name.
This will seamlessly jump you to that data's full profile.
When you are finished reviewing the entity, click the green Go back button on the left side to return exactly where you left off on the document's tab.
Detach an Entity: If a document was linked by mistake, or is no longer relevant to a specific record, you can sever the connection directly from this list:
Check the box to the left of the entity you wish to remove.
A bulk action bar will appear at the bottom. Click the Detach icon (an "X").
A pop-up will appear asking, "Are you sure you want detach the selected document from the record?" Click the red Detach button to confirm.
A green Record detached message will confirm the successful removal.
