Locations Explained

Locations are an essential part of the Interu traceability method. They represent physical locations and areas involved in the physical flow of goods. For instance, a manufacturing Organisation may have multiple Locations, each one the factory address where processing happens.

Individual cutting areas or farm plots need to be entered as separate locations to enable analysis of specific plots.

Sometimes an organisation may have only one Location and so it may appear that the Organisation and Location details are the same.

However the key distinction is that an Organisation represents a Legal Entity and a Location represents a Physical Location
