As explained previously, an Organisation represents a legal entity, while Locations represent the physical sites (like mills, forests, or warehouses) that belong to it. If you associated an organisation when originally creating a location, those locations will automatically appear in this section. Alternatively, you can add new locations directly from the organisation's profile.
View Linked Locations
To see which physical sites belong to a specific company:
Select an Organisation: From your main Organisations list, click on the name of the entity you wish to view.
Navigate to the Locations Tab: In the left-hand vertical navigation bar, click the Locations icon, which represented by a map pin.
Review the List: This panel displays a list of all physical sites currently mapped to this organisation.
Add a New Location Directly
You can quickly add a new facility or plot without leaving the organisation's profile. Adding a location this way provides helpful shortcuts.
Select an Organisation: From your main Organisations list, click on the name of the entity you wish to view.
Initiate New Entry: While viewing the organisation's Locations tab, click the + Add button located in the top right corner.
Fill in the Details: An Add location side panel will slide out. Fill out the form fields:
Name: Enter the specific name of the facility or plot.
Organisation: This field will be pre-filled with the current organisation's name, saving you a step.
Type(s): Select the location type from the dropdown menu (e.g., Forest).
Address: You can manually enter the address details, or simply check the box labeled Same as organisation address. This will automatically pull the registered address and Country data from the parent entity.
Save the Location: Click the black Save button in the bottom right corner of the panel.
Confirmation: A green confirmation message reading Location created will appear, and the new site will immediately populate in the organisation's location list.
