Linking locations allows you to map the flow of your supply chain by connecting upstream sources (suppliers) to downstream destinations (buyers/receivers). This establishes a clear chain of custody.
Link Locations
Select a Location: From the main Locations list, click on the name of the location you wish to configure (e.g., Forest ABC) to open its details.
Navigate to Linked Locations: In the side panel, click the Linked locations icon located in the left vertical navigation bar (second icon down, resembling a network node).
Choose Relationship Direction: Select the appropriate tab based on the direction of the supply chain flow:
Supplied by: Use this tab if you are linking a source that is upstream to the current location.
Supplies to: Use this tab if you are linking a destination that is downstream to the current location.
Add the Link: Click the + Add button located in the top right corner of the section.
Select the Target Location: A search panel will slide out. Locate the specific facility you want to link (e.g., Sawmill ABC) and click the + Add button next to its name.
Confirm Connection: A green confirmation toast message saying Link created will appear, and the connected location will now be listed under the selected tab.
Automatic Reciprocal Linking
The system automatically creates the corresponding link for the other location. For example, if you add Sawmill ABC to the Supplies to list of Forest ABC, the system will automatically list Forest ABC under the Supplied by tab when viewing Sawmill ABC.
Unlink Locations
Access Location Details: Navigate to the location that needs modification (e.g., Sawmill ABC) and open its details panel.
Open the Network Tab: Click the Linked locations icon in the left-hand navigation bar (the network node icon).
Locate the Connection: Switch between the Supplied by or Supplies to tabs to find the specific location you want to disconnect.
Remove the Link: Hover your mouse over the row of the location you wish to remove (e.g., Forest ABC). A "x" icon will appear on the right side of the Name. Click this icon to Remove the connection.
Verification: A green confirmation message saying Link removed will appear at the bottom left of the screen, and the location will immediately disappear from the list.
This action removes the link from both the supplier and the receiver.
