💡 Why add a DDS to an Item?
An Item-level DDS is necessary when you are dealing with a specific, unique physical batch of goods.
For example: You generate and attach the Due Diligence Statement directly to the Item (the specific physical group of products being transported together). This ensures that when you submit your declaration to TRACES NT, customs authorities see the exact, accurate origin data for that unique physical shipment clearing the border.
