Once you have created the logistical shell for your shipment, you need to specify exactly which physical batches are on board. The Items tab within a delivery allows you to add, duplicate, or remove batches to ensure your shipment's inventory is perfectly accurate.
Accessing Delivery Items
Select a Delivery: From your main Deliveries list, click the ID of the shipment you want to manage.
Navigate to Items: In the left-hand navigation bar of the delivery details panel, click the Items icon (resembling a box).
Add Items to a Delivery
To link physical batches that are already logged in your system to this shipment:
Open the Add Menu: Click the + Add button located in the top right corner of the Items panel.
Select the Batches: An Add items side panel will slide out displaying a list of existing Items. (Notes: If you haven't actually created the item record in your system yet, you can click the plus icon at the top of this list to generate a new item profile directly from this screen without losing your place!)
Add to Shipment: Click the + (plus) icon next to the specific item you want to include.
Review the Summary: The batch will instantly appear in your Selected items list. You will also notice the Product summary at the top of the screen automatically updates to calculate the total quantity of goods now in the shipment.
Close the side panel by clicking the X in the top right corner when you are finished.
Duplicate an Item
If you are loading multiple batches of the same product with identical origins, you can save time by duplicating an item directly within the delivery.
Duplicate: Hover your cursor over the existing item in your Selected items list and click the Duplicate icon (resembling two overlapping squares).
Edit Details: An Add item to delivery panel will open, pre-filled with the original batch's characteristics.
Assign a Unique ID: You must give this new physical batch a unique identifier in the ID field. Note: The system strictly enforces unique IDs. If you attempt to use a name that is already in use, a red "This ID already exists" warning will prevent you from saving.
Save: Click the green Save button at the bottom. The brand new batch is created and automatically added to your delivery, updating the total quantity.
Detach an Item from a Delivery
If an item was added to the shipment by mistake, or if it was removed from the physical truck before departure, you can sever the link.
Detach: Hover your cursor over the incorrect item in your list and click the Detach icon (resembling a broken chain link or an arrow pointing out of a box).
Confirm: A pop-up will appear asking, "Are you sure you want to detach this item from the delivery?".
Remove: Click the red Detach button. The item will be removed from the shipment, and your Product Summary will adjust accordingly.
