In some cases, you may need to remove a user's access to Interu, this can be done by deactivating the user. If appropriate, their access can be restored at any time using the activate function. Both options are available from the Users page.

The actions are explained below:

Only Admin or Account Owner users can deactivate and activate users (see User Roles & Permissions)

Deactivate a User

Follow the below steps if you want to suspend restrict a user’s access. Deactivated users will no longer be able to log in or access the platform, but their data and role assignment are retained.

  1. Go to the Existing Users tab (see Existing Users)

  2. Click the Deactivate button to the right of the user you wish to deactivate

  3. In the Deactivate confirmation pop-up window, click Deactivate to confirm

You'll see a ✓ User deactivated confirmation message appear (bottom left). The user’s status will now show as Deactivated in the list of existing users.

If you have mistakenly deactivated a user, or wish to re-activate a user at a later date, you can follow these steps: Activate a User

Activate a User

Follow the steps below to restore access for a previously deactivated user (see Deactivate a User). This allows them to log back into the platform with the same permissions they had before.

  1. Go to the Existing Users tab (see Existing Users)

  2. Click the Activate button to the right of the user you wish to deactivate

  3. In the Activate confirmation pop-up window, click Activate to confirm

You'll see a ✓ User activated confirmation message appear (bottom left). The user’s status will now show as Active in the list of existing users.
