Adding organisations allows you to build your supply chain network by registering the legal entities, suppliers, and corporate partners you work with. You can add a single organisation manually or import multiple records at once using a CSV file.

Manually Add a Organisation

  1. Navigate to Organisations: From the left-hand navigation menu, click on Organisations (located under the Static section) to open your list of existing entities.

  2. Initiate New Entry: Click the green + Add new button located in the top right corner of the screen.

  3. Enter Organisation Details: A side panel titled Add organisation will slide out. Fill in the form fields categorised below:

    • Main information:

      • User defined ID: Check this box if you want to manually input a specific ID code used by your internal systems. Otherwise, leave it unchecked for an auto-generated ID.

      • Name: Enter the official legal name of the entity. This is a mandatory field.

      • Website and Email: Enter the contact details for the organisation.

      • Parent organisation: If this entity is a subsidiary, you can select its parent company from the dropdown list.

    • Address:

      • Address, State / Region, and ZIP / Postcode: Enter the physical registered address of the legal entity.

      • Country: Select the country of registration from the dropdown list. This is a mandatory field.

    • Additional information:

      • Type of Organisation: Specify the business type.

  4. Save the Entry: Click the Save button in the top right corner of the panel. A green confirmation message reading Organisation created will appear at the bottom left.

If you need to upload a large list of entiites, you can use the CSV import tool to save time.

  1. Access the Import Tool: On the main Organisations page, hover over the downward-pointing arrow immediately to the right of the + Add new button. Select Import via CSV from the dropdown menu.

  2. Download the Sample Template: An Import organisations window will pop up. Before uploading, it is highly recommended to click the blue Download sample CSV link. This provides you with a pre-formatted spreadsheet ensuring your data is structured exactly how the system requires.

  3. Upload Your Data: Once your CSV file is filled out and ready:

    • Click the green Choose file button to browse your computer and select the file.

    • Alternatively, you can drag and drop your completed CSV file directly into the designated area in the window.

  4. View the Upload Status: You can view the status and details of your import in the Admin area: Imported information. If the upload is successful, the data will be automatically populated in your main Organisations page.
