You can create specific, customised supply chains to group certain networks together, such as filtering by a specific product line, region, or set of suppliers (see Supply Chains Explained to learn more).
In order to form supply chains, you need to link the locations first to . Please see Linked Locations page for more details.
1. Navigate to Supply Chains: From the left-hand navigation menu, look under the Static section and click on Supply chains.
2. Initiate New Entry: On the Supply chains page, click the green + Add new button located in the top right corner.
3. Add Locations to the Network: Use the Add locations panel on the right side of the screen to select the specific facilities you want to include in this network.
Click the location's name to add it to the canvas.
As you add locations, they will appear as nodes on the main Locations canvas. If these facilities have already been linked in their individual location profiles, directional arrows will automatically appear to map their flow.
You can use the + sign next to Add locations to create new locations on the spot.
4. Define Main Information: In the top section of the page, fill in the details for your custom network:
Name: Enter a unique identifier for this supply chain.
Description: Provide additional context or details about this network (optional).
5. Manage Attachment Visibility: Location attachments (Documents and Certificates) are shown on the supply chain by default. You can uncheck the Documents or Certificates attached to the Locations so they wouldn't be shown in this supply chain view. Use this control on any attachment you do not want surfaced on this particular supply chain.
The unselected Documents and Certificates will not be sent when you send this static supply chain to your partner or when you attach this static supply chain to a Delivery and send the Delivery to your partner.
6. Save the Supply Chain: Once you have added all necessary locations and named the network, click the black Save button in the bottom right corner. A green confirmation message reading Supply chain created will appear, and you can now edit or view your network.
