If you need to review the specific details of a physical batch after Adding an Item, such as checking its current location, verifying its remaining quantity, or correcting a typo in its ID number, you can manage existing records directly from the main list.
View Item Details
To review the current information saved for a specific physical batch:
Select an Item: From your main Items list, click directly on the blue, hyperlinked name of the batch you wish to view.
Review the Panel: A side panel titled Item details will open on the right side of the screen. Scroll through this panel to review the captured data, which includes:
Main information: Displays the batch's ID, overarching Product, exact Materials, Batch / Lot number(s), Initial quantity, and Remaining quantity.
Locations: Shows where the batch was Created at (with the Creation date) and its Current / last location.
Record details: An audit log detailing who the record was Created by, Updated by, and the corresponding timestamps.
Note: In the Item details panel, linked elements like the Product, Materials, and Locations are hyperlinked in blue. You can click these directly to jump to their respective profiles.
Understanding the Remaining quantity display
The Remaining quantity shown in the Item details panel gives you an at-a-glance view of how much of the batch is left, without needing to calculate it yourself.
Percentage remaining: Remaining quantity displays as
{quantity} {symbol} ({percent}%)— for example, 30 m³ (60%). The percentage is the ratio of remaining to initial quantity, shown to up to two decimal places with trailing zeroes removed.
Custom unit of measurement: When a custom unit is set as the default, the format becomes
{custom quantity} {custom symbol} ({base quantity} {base symbol}) ({percent}%), so you can see both the custom and base figures alongside the percentage.Over-consumption warning: If more has been recorded as consumed than the initial quantity, the remaining percentage turns negative and a hazard icon (⚠️) appears. Hovering over it shows the tooltip "Initial quantity exceeded." — a prompt to check for double-recording or data-entry errors.
Always visible: The Remaining quantity heading and value now stay on screen even when the remaining quantity is exactly 0, so a fully depleted batch is clearly shown as depleted rather than appearing to have missing data.
Remaining quantity in additional units
The Remaining quantity section now mirrors the Initial quantity section by also expressing the value in every additional unit of measurement configured on the product (or product variant). Depending on the conversion data available, each additional unit shows in one of three ways:
Auto-converted value — shown directly where a conversion factor exists and no manual override is set.
Auto-converted value marked "(estimated)" — shown with an info tooltip when a manual override is present.
A dash (—) — shown with the tooltip "No conversion factor set." when no conversion factor is available.
Conversion factors are taken from the product or product variant configuration.
Edit Item Details
If you need to update the batch's record (for example, if the internal ID number changed or was entered incorrectly), you can easily modify it:
Enable Editing: While viewing the Item details panel, click the Edit button located in the top right corner.
Modify the Fields: The form fields will become interactive. You can now type in your changes.
Save Changes: Once all your updates are complete, click the black Save button in the top right corner of the panel.
Confirmation: A green confirmation message reading Item modified will appear in the bottom left corner, confirming your update was successful. The panel will refresh to display the newly updated information.
