Processes Explained

In any complex supply chain, raw materials do not simply move from point A to point B, they are transformed. The Processes module allows you to document these physical manufacturing events, tracking exactly how specific items are consumed to create entirely new items.

For example, tracking a process allows you to prove that a specific batch of "Sawn Timber" was legitimately milled from a specific batch of certified "Wood Logs."

💡 Why this is Critical for EUDR Compliance

Under the EUDR, the obligation to provide precise geolocation data stays with the material even after it changes form. You must be able to trace a finished or semi-finished product all the way back to the exact plot of land where the timber was originally harvested.

The Processes module is the critical link that prevents your compliance data from breaking during manufacturing. By logging these transformation events (such as sawing, pulping, or paper making), you ensure that the original harvest data and due diligence documentation flow seamlessly from the raw input to the processed output.

This gives auditors an unbroken, ironclad chain of custody proving that your final traded goods were made exclusively from compliant, deforestation-free raw materials and that no unverified timber was mixed into your production line.
