Duplicate, Export & Import Rulesets

Written by Ruby Lin

If you manage multiple organisations or you work with your suppliers, you don't need to rebuild your compliance configurations from scratch every time. The platform allows you to duplicate or export your system settings (including Rulesets, Risk templates, Document types, and more) into a single file, and easily import them into another account.

Duplicating a Ruleset

  1. Navigate to Admin using the left-hand menu.Under the System configuration section, click on the Rulesets card.

  2. Locate the ruleset you wish to copy. You can switch between category tabs (e.g., Organisations, Locations, Deliveries). Click on the specific ruleset to open its main details page.

  3. Click the three-dot menu icon located immediately to the left of the Edit button in the top right corner.

  4. Select Duplicate from the dropdown options.

  5. A confirmation prompt will appear. Click the Duplicate button to confirm your action.

  6. You will be redirected to a new Add ruleset screen pre-filled with the original ruleset's criteria. The name field will automatically append "(copy)" to the original title.

  7. Adjust the name, description, and any specific matching criteria as needed, then click Save in the bottom right corner to finalise your new ruleset.

Export Rulesets

To package and download your current configurations:

  1. Navigate to Rulesets: From your main left-hand menu, go to the Admin module, select System configuration, and click on Rulesets.

  2. Export: Click the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner of the screen and select Export settings.

  3. Download: A green Settings file exported confirmation message will appear in the bottom left, and a ZIP file (e.g., "interu_settings.zip") will automatically download to your computer.

Import Rulesets

To upload a previously exported configuration file into another account:

  1. Navigate to the Destination Workspace: Switch to the organization where you want to apply the settings, then navigate back to Admin > System configuration > Rulesets.

  2. Initiate Import: Click the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner and select Import settings.

  3. Upload the File: An Import settings window will appear. Click the black Choose file button and select the ZIP file you downloaded earlier.

  4. Use the Import Wizard: The system will launch a multi-step wizard showing all the configurations contained within the ZIP file.

    • Go through each page (Rulesets, Risk assessment templates, Risk levels, Document types, etc.) and check or uncheck the specific items you want to bring over.

    • Note: Watch out for orange warning triangle icons. These indicate a dependency (e.g., "Record required by Rulesets: Locations"), meaning certain items must be imported together to function properly.

  5. Finalise the Import: Click Next to reach the Summary review page, then click the green Import button at the bottom.

  6. Review the Results: The system will process the import, placing green checkmarks next to successfully imported items and a red warning icon next to any items that failed.

  7. Finish: Click Done to close the wizard. Your newly imported rulesets will now populate under their respective tabs.
